John Dillon Wood

John Dillon Wood shot his wife and two children to death in their gated community home in Orlando, Florida. He then turned the gun on himself. The bodies were discovered by a cleaner on Monday, June 15 and police believe the killings could have occurred days earlier.

Police said they were confident the incident was a murder suicide and stated they “don’t believe there’s anybody running around out there who did this.” A police spokesman summed up the incident: “[Wood] apparently shot his entire family. It’s a huge tragedy. There’s no other way to describe it.”
