27-year-old Theodore Schmidt was arrested and charged with the murder of Sabina Pina. The victim went missing while shopping on February 21 and her body discovered a day later and identified soon after. She had been shot. According to reports, Schmidt’s fingerprints were discovered on duct tape used to restrain Pina. Police also reported that Schimidt had known Pina at high school and that firearm evidence connecting Schmidt to the killing was found at his apartment.
