The estranged wife of the Pinelake Health and Rehab nursing home killer was named by police as Wanda Luck.
According to reports, Luck worked at the home as a certified nurse assistant and local records show she shares (or shared) an address with Stewart. It’s thought that the pair split up three weeks before Stewart’s rampage – supplying a possible motive. District attorney Maureen Krueger said, “The information on motive is incomplete at this time. We can share this: this was not a random act of violence.”

Seven patients – all suffering from Alzheimer’s disease – were killed. They were identified as Louise Dekler, 98; Lillian Dunn, 89; Tessie Garner, 88; John Goldston, 78; Bessie Hendrick, 78; Margaret Johnson, 89; and Jessie Musser, 88. A nurse, Jerry Avant Jr., was believed to have been killed while trying to tackle Stewart.
45-year-old Stewart was charged with eight counts of first-degree murder after the shooting on March 29, 2009.
