The Iron Lady’s young ‘un Carol Thatcher was dropped from her role on a BBC show for calling a black tennis player a ‘golliwog‘ off air. Thatcher denied that the comment was meant racially and was a comparison used in in private conversation. Well, that’s all right then.
Now Thatcher’s rep says the firing was orchestrated by a BBC insider holding a personal vendetta. The rep also said she would consider suing “anyone” claiming her client is a racist. Thacher now wants an apology from the BBC.
