Chris Brown arrested

Brown was arrested on a battery charge and the victim is reported to be his girlfriend Rihanna. Both were booked to perform at the 2009 Grammy Awards in LA. There was a little last minute shuffling and Justin Timberlake and Al Green stepped up to sing “Let’s Stay Together” to fill the gap.

Brown’s trouble started after Clive Davis’ party the night before the Grammy’s – at 12.30am February 8. A woman, believed to be Rihanna, fled Brown’s car, Brown followed and the alleged assault occurred. The LA sheriffs department confirmed Brown had been arrested and his bail set at $50,000.
