Unconfirmed reports suggest that Michael Jackson’s death may have been caused by Demerol – a powerful drug similar to morphine. The Sun Newspaper in Britain: “An emergency room source at UCLA hospital said Jackson aides told medics he had collapsed after an injection of potent Demerol.” LAPD were looking for Jackson’s live-in doctor, Conrad Robert Murray, who may have injected the star shortly before his cardiac arrest.
Jackson was known to have a problem with prescription drugs. After being accused of abusing a 13-year-old boy who visited his Neverland Ranch, Jackson was forced to endure a grueling trial. The stress of the legal battle led to a prescription drug addiction. Jackson was cleared of the charges.
The autopsy was scheduled to go ahead the day following Jackson’s death, Friday, June 26. The results are expected from the Los Angeles coroner’s office by the afternoon.
On June 26, authorities released the emergency 911 call from Michael Jackson’s home.
